On the brighter side

My recent posts have not been that much fun to read, I know. Not really uplifting. So I thought I would post a few cute pictures of me and J when we were little kids, just to lighten the mood a bit.

Enjoy!

J helping his mom out in the garden. Look at his blond fro!!

J grew up in Texas, and here's the proof!

I think this is one of my all-time favorite pictures of J. Look at that great smile!

Texas gets hot!! And J tried to cool off and get a refreshing drink at the same time.

A little young to start shaving, don't you think?

I grew up in Seattle. Here I was on a field trip to Alki Beach. Look at my face...I'm not sure about the geoduck in my hands.

Probably one of the last times I've worn makeup voluntarily. I still put it on the same way, too. I sucked at make up then, and I suck at it now!

Another one of my favorite photos of J. Look at those long legs!

J and his sister H riding on bikes in front of their house in Texas.

I didn't grow up in Texas, but maybe this was some sort of sign?? I was destined to be with a Southern boy?

Our neighbor in Seattle took this picture when I was riding around the neighborhood. I can't tell if I'm pouting or squinting. Or both?

In preschool, they posed us on the cargo net for pictures. Cute, but I've always been afraid of heights. I can only imagine, based on the dumb look on my face, that I was not a model student that day.

Pretty sure my mom was nuts. Who poses their kids in the bathtub with flowers? That looks natural...

When I was in elementary school I won the Seymour Kaplan Humanitarian Award. I think I was destined to be a teacher.

There you go. Not terribly exciting photos, but much happier than my recent posts, wouldn't you agree?

forget the blond hair in that first picture! Check out the awesome striped shorts! LOL!!!

And that is HILARIOUS you both have pics of you as little kids wearing huge boots. You should really get a double pic frame and have them framed up side by side. SO CUTE

you know, there are some people, who as adults, look like older versions of their little-kid pics, and then there are some people, who as adults, barely resemble their little kid pics. You, Jess, and I all fall into the category of not looking much like our baby/toddler/preschool days!!! LOL!! Trisha and Laura look like older versions of their baby/toddler/preschool pics.

Thanks for sharing those K. I should head to my mom's house and dig up some of my old pics!
