Those of you who know me will vouch for me when I say that I am a jeans and t-shirt type of girl. I am not comfortable in dresses or skirts, and would rather not wear slacks if I can help it. I practically live in jeans and t-shirts and sneakers during the fall, winter and spring. During the summer it's t-shirts and shorts and flip flops.
That's why I am proud to announce that as of today, I have only worn jeans to school exactly four times this year. No, seriously. Four times. That's it. And, three of those four times I wore jeans and my "Go Blue or Go Home" spirit t-shirt. The other day I wore jeans and a blue t-shirt so that I would match my freshmen "team" for our field day. I managed not to wear jeans until the Friday of the third week of school when we had our first home football game.
It's not that I think there's anything wrong with wearing jeans to work. I just was tired of feeling like everyone else was always dressed nicer than me. So this year I decided it would be different. At the end of summer I started shopping. J even went with me one day and helped me pick out a few tops. My friend hemmed all of my slacks for me, so now I have enough pants to get me through a week and a half without wearing the same pair twice. I have all kinds of cute tops that I've collected over the last few years that are practically new because I never really wore them. So, I've been planning at least one day ahead, and keeping up with the laundry.
I am so proud of myself it's not even funny. But I do have to admit that I look forward to Friday "Sun"days at school and I can wear my jeans. (We are the Suns, so every Friday we wear school colors and they call it SUNday...cute, huh?)
We'll see how long this lasts, but as of now, it's a personal record for me!

good job! I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl as well. Though if I had a little more fashion sense, and a bigger pocketbook, I'd LIKE to wear nicer things. I just don't have a clue how to dress in-style, or how to find good deals, etc. Basically, I'm a girly girl that sucks at being girly. ROFL
Awesome! I love me some jeans!
