Sisters

I love my sisters. We are all so different, yet there are some random similarities. When we were little and fought like...well, sisters, Mom always said we would love each other when we were grown ups. We didn't believe her.

My sisters share the same birthday, but they are not twins. T was born 10/5/79 and L was born 10/5/81. They are closer to each other than I am with either sister. That's hard for me a lot of the time. I get jealous, to be honest. But I know they both love me, too. I don't know if it's because they share a birthday or if it's because they are just more alike, but they are close.

While I think each of the three of us has a great sense of humor, both of my sisters are funny...very funny. They can tell jokes and stories that have you rolling on the ground laughing so hard you cry.

They both are very friendly, and are not afraid to talk to people. They have both worked in retail before, and were awesome at it. At parties, even family parties, I tend to stick to one or both of them as if I'd been velcroed there.

As much as I hate to admit it, Mom was right. The older I get the more I love my sisters. Here are the two most recent pictures I have of my sisters. Coincidentally, I took both pictures, and in both pictures they are each doing something for me...voluntarily.

T is taking out the vacuum cleaner to clean my living room before my in-laws came to visit. In the two pictures of T doing my laundry I was not fast enough to catch her face...

In the picture of L, she is sitting in the beauty salon while I was getting my hair done. She was there to keep me company, just because.

This post is short, because though I could say a million different things about them, it all boils down to the same thing: I love my sisters.

Someone must have pulled mothers aside to tell them what to say when they have sisters who argue. My mom said it and now I find myself saying it to my girls. There's nothing like a sister!

I don't have a sister! wahhhh! I just have a darn brother WHO JUST GOT ENGAGED so at least I get a SIL, right?

Your sisters are fab and I wish the three of you lived closer. I always did have a good time around you three.

PS And I think it's because they're so much more alike that they get along the way they do, more than that they share a birthday. Like you said, they're far more outgoing, more into the trendy clothing and hair-styles, etc. I'd be the odd one out in those departments, too!
