C'mon, now, haven't we learned ANYTHING?

Okay, people, any Survivor fans out there? I have got to tell you that I am beyond annoyed with the whole fake immunity idol thing... Last Thursday there was yet another fake immunity idol played. You can read about it here. I was working on my poor, neglected blog, and had my back to the television, only half listening to what was going on. When they got to Tribal Council, I focused in a little more. It's the most important part of the show, you know. It's where all the strategizing and scheming plays out.

Well, Randy got played. Yet another idiot played yet another fake immunity idol. This one, at least, was more convincing than the stick. Remember that? That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

But back to my point. I think in SEVENTEEN seasons of Survivor, this game should be old hat by now. Don't. Trust. Anyone.

Ever.

Why, oh why, do people continuously make the same mistakes? I think I watch this show because it's an intriguing study of the human psyche. (That makes me sound kinda smart, huh?) I'm hooked on the way people continue to do the same things over and over and over, seemingly without learning a darn thing. Even a rat in a maze will only slam his nose into a wall a finite number of times before he figures another way out. C'mon already.

Unless you find the immunity idol yourself, don't use it. And even then you should carefully consider your options. You know the old saying, it's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt? Yeah, it pretty much applies here, too.

So if you're ever on Survivor, do me a favor and leave the hidden immunity idol hidden, okay?

P.S. I'm hosting my first ever contest / giveaway! Be sure you read yesterday's post and make some guesses! Tell your bloggy friends!

that show makes me NUTS. I used to love it, but the contast arguing and back-stabbing and arguing and misery just wears old on me now and I just find myself wanting to scream at the "idiots" on the show. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING????? THat's funny they passed off a fake idol on someone. Dan would have enjoyed the humor in that one. LOL!

Randy seemed a little too smart to fall for that one. Of course I may be mistaking smart for cocky.
