If J Were in Charge of the World

If J were in charge of the world,
He’d cancel romantic comedies,
Big decisions,
Reality television and also Dr. Phil.

If J were in charge of the world,
There’d be warm days year round,
New trucks each year,
And free golf each weekend.

If J were in charge of the world,
You wouldn’t have nosy or rude neighbors.
You wouldn’t have spotless, organized houses.
You wouldn’t have early morning alarm clocks.
Or, “What you gotta understand is…”
You wouldn’t even have know-it-all friends.

If J were in charge of the world
A big juicy steak and German chocolate cake
would be healthy snacks.
Sci-fi and horror flicks would be Kristina’s
favorite type of movies.
And a person who sometimes forgets to empty
the dishwasher, talks back to the
television, and tells his wife “In a minute”
(when he really means later…MUCH
later…)
Would still be allowed to be
In charge of the world.
