Is it wrong that...3

I subject J to three episodes of Big Brother 10 a week during the summer and into the fall? Well, two, really. He watches Eureka on Tuesdays so he can't watch BB10 with me.

He pretends to hate it, but he's full of it. In fact, just this past Tuesday I was at a continuing education class and was not even home to turn it on. When I called J to tell him I was on my way home, he said, and I quote, "I know who got kicked off Big Brother this week!"

That's right, folks. He "hates that stupid show" but he watched it. All by himself.

Shhh....don't tell him I told you, okay? Besides, if you ask him, he'll deny it flat out. He'll say he just happened to turn the channel and catch the eviction ceremony. He'll say watched it just because he wanted to find out who was evicted because he knew I'd want to know. He'd say all that, but he'd be fibbing.

He likes it. He just won't admit it.

I'm a convenient excuse for him to watch a lot of stuff he normally couldn't get away with. Like Legally Blonde over and over again. Or Project Runway (he was totally addicted to season 2 or 3, whichever one had Santino).

He uses me that way. But I'm okay with it. I tell people I read all kinds of YA fiction so I can be "hip" to what my kids are reading. But that's a big fat lie. I like the stuff, plain and simple. It's just a good reason for me to read it, and people don't think I'm weird when I do. They are impressed that a teacher would go to so much trouble. Be so selfless as to part with her hard earned cash and time to do something for kids.

So I'll be J's cover story if you'll believe mine.

LOL Does that mean you've read the Twilight series???

I haven't watched any of the Big Brother stuff. I used to be much more into the reality TV, but just not so much lately. I haven't even watched hte last two seasons of survivor and really have no plans of watching the upcoming one.

I watch Biggest Loser, when it happens to be on and I'm watching TV. And that's about it. Used to watch The Mole (but totally couldn't get into it this last season) and Amazing Race (kept forgetting to watch it)... hmmm. oh, totally haven't gotten into the modeling reality shows either.

I think it's funny he uses you as his excuse to watch some of that stuff...

HEY! There is nothing wrong with the Twilight series, LEAH! LOL
I completely understand that you and J must do the things you have to do to! Jim uses me also for an excuse... he just happens to be in the same room or 'walking by' wink wink
