Stuck in gear

"Like a ten-speed bike, most of us have gears we do not use." -- Charles Schulz

Man, does this quote apply to me today! There was SO much on my to-do list, but virtually none of it has been accomplished. The only thing I have done today is laundry. I didn't touch the grading I've been trying to get done for the last two weeks. I didn't edit either of the books I'm going to read with my freshmen classes. I didn't plan for the week with my seniors. I didn't clean the bathroom. I didn't clean the bedroom, the living room, the kitchen, or the computer room. I didn't dust or vacuum. I didn't change the bedding (but I may still do that in a few minutes here). I didn't go grocery shopping. I didn't do the dishes. I didn't swim in the pool. I didn't choose clothes or iron them for tomorrow or the rest of the week. I didn't pack a lunch for tomorrow. I didn't finish my third rag quilt that's been neglected for almost a month now.

I'm totally stuck in gear, and wishing I could get it together. Oh, well. There goes another weekend. Tomorrow will be a new day, and I'll be better then.

As long as I don't get the cold that J is coming down with...keep your fingers crossed!

Now what gear would that be? For me, it would be neutral! LOL
